PASA seeking a capella groups to open for Rockepella


The Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA) will host an online audition for a capella groups who want to be the opening act for the international music sensation Rockapella, when they perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center as part of PASA’s 2009/2010 mainstage series. Known for their rock infused harmonies, Rockapella are the originators of a unique flavor of contemporary pop music; one that has spread virally across the United States, Asia and Europe. The group’s widespread appeal has built legions of fans throughout the USA and across the globe.

Entry is easy and can be done through www.pasa-online.org. All groups must create a video and upload it to an account on YouTube. Accounts with YouTube are free and can be created in a matter of minutes. Once the video is uploaded, the applicant should go online to www.pasa-online.org and follow the Rockapella links to continue their audition submission.  There should be no more than seven members in the group and all members of the group must be 15 years of age or older. Entrants must include a name, age, valid address, email and phone number. The contest ends at 5p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
